The data reported regarding transfer out students is not a full count of all
transfer out students from the cohort. It only reports students who are reported in NSLDS as having transferred to
other institutions. We are aware of many other students who have self-reported transfer out status but are not in
the NSLDS and have not been included in the transfer data.

Pillar College's population is primarily students that are pursuing
degree-completion, not students that are starting college for the first time. Furthermore, our population that
began before Fall 2011 was deeply impacted by our campus being flooded by Hurricane Irene.

Note for 2010-2011 General Population Graduation/Transfer Data Comparison Thomas Edison State University enrolls
primarily part-time, non first-time students; the majority are working adults. Thus, the University does not compute
graduation "rates" for its overall student body. Results from the University's most recent Outcomes Measure submission
to IPEDS which is based on non first-time, part-time students is available at
www.tesu.edu/about/student-satisfaction-and-achievement. In FY 2011
(2010-2011), there were 60 students who received TAG grants. These students were new to Thomas Edison State University;
they are not necessarily "first-time" students. The cohort reported in Column A included 7 students who were enrolled
at the Associate degree level. National Student Clearinghouse data was used to determine if students went on to pursue
their studies at another institution (Column F).
