New Jersey has more than 50 degree-granting colleges and universities, as well as many trade and technical schools. Each is unique and special, and they provide many different courses of study to suit your needs.

Two-Year County Colleges
- Grant an associate degree
- Provide specialized training that can be immediately applied to a job following graduation
- Prepare you for transfer to a four-year school where you can complete your bachelor's degree
- Primarily serve the residents of their respective counties
- If you live in a county without a community college or if your college doesn't offer the program you want, you can attend one of the other community colleges
